A scary Night

Well, we kept our precious Grandaughter "The Bug" AKA Big Sister Myra, so daddy could help mom and get a little bit of rest. Daddy came Saturday night to get a nights rest and pick up "the Bug" and we got the call in the middle of the morning that Micah had a spell. They had to recuscitate baby Micah in the wee hours of the night. Our poor daughter, sore from the C-Section, worried about the boys and then have to get these news. But, God prevailed. Baby Micah made it through the night. Thank you God!!! Minute by minute faith.

The Surprise Arrival/ Proud Gammy and Papa Again

July 31, 2009 marks the day these 2 beautiful twins decided to surprise everyone and make their grand entrance into the world. 24 weeks and 2 days gestation age, no-one was prepared for this grand entrance. Especially Mommy and Daddy. Twins, fraternal twin boys that is. Miguel Juan and Micah James decided that this was the day they were going to make their entrance into this world. Mommy was scheduled for her 3-D sonogram this day, and just wasn't feeling quite right. Pressure and pain prompted them to contact the Dr. He had the sonographer check her cervix and this was when they discovered she needed to get to the Hospital. Being only 5 minutes away was a true blessing, as by the time she arrived at the hospital and examined she was already dilated to 6cm and both boys were breech. Mommy and Daddy were sent into a tail spin with the news as mommy was wheeled in for an emergency C-Section. (This was the last thing Mommy wanted)! Shortly thereafter, these 2 precious little boys arrived. Tiny is an understatement. Miguel weighed in at 1lb 12 ounces and was 13 inches long, while his brother Micah weighed in at 1lb 6 ounces and was 11.5 inches long. Mom saw the boys briefly as they had to be taken to the NICU immediately. We arrived a while later after these precious boys arrived but didn't get to see them on the day of their arrival. Prayer was on our minds from the minute we heard Mommy was in the hospital. At this point all we could think of was Ok God, here they are and we trust you!!
